CO 11 – Danslow – Russia EP

Mexico-born but Berlin-based Danslow, started collecting old vinyl records since 2001 building a strong arsenal of disco/funk sample chopping tools. Russia EP is the true essence of his re-work/re-edit dexterity all mixed and filled with a vast array of space effect processors and analog synths borrowed from music stores and acquaintances. Recorded in Germany, Italy and Mexico; mixed in Berlin, and mastered again in Mexico, Russia EP is a clutter of disco-cuts ready to fill the dancefloor until the glitter ball falls down from the stage.
Album opener “Russia” gathers trumpets, pianos, violins and everything in between and turns it into a constant french-touch anthem ready for any American Disco. “Roller Stroller” keeps the mood on spinning-cycle through an space odyssey of pads and synths while “Sweet ‘n Young” frames the Danslow’s best pop side from all of his releases.
From Moscow with love, The Frost came up with a groovy-retro-sounding remix so fresh that Russia’s snow is melting down since winter. From Mexico, La Fiera build up a techno-dance masterpiece to burn the house down and set the shoes on fire. Ready for some disco? Then have a listen and enjoy!
